He also understood our budget and came up with ideas that fit into that range.
We hired him do a remodel on an upstairs bathroom and then asked him back for the entire downstairs including the kitchen (complete removal and replacement), a bathroom, a removal of part of a wall, and more. He was always responsive via text or phone call and ensured that we could live here as comfortably as possible while he worked. I've heard so many horror stories from my friends about their experiences with their contractors, but I didn't have a single hiccup at all. Derek worked with me on my tight budget and he's really knowledgable. He gave me all options and even offered me advice that would cut costs (what contractor is willing to offer you a cost-saving option)? He wasn't pushy or sales-pitchy at all, but just had great intentions to make my house look great. We refaced the cabinets in my kitchen, and built-in cabinets in my living room, tore down a part of a wall, and painted my whole house.
